CANDIDATE FOR THE JOAN ORÓ FI PREDOCTORAL GRANT AT THE NUTRITION AND METABOLIC HEALTH RESEARCH GROUP

The Nutrition and Metabolic Health Research Group (NuMeH, IISPV) is currently seeking a pre-doctoral student to apply for a grant in the fields of nutrition, biomedicine, biotechnology, or biology, with an interest in studying non-communicable diseases

Research at the NuMeH group  (https://www.iispv.cat/grup/nutrition-and-metabolic-health-research-group-numeh/ @Numeh aims to integrate nutritional, lifestyle, and metabolic knowledge to address the growing prevalence of non-communicable diseases such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, cognitive decline, and dementia. Through the use of multi-omic approaches—our research takes a holistic and integrative approach to better identify biomarkers and target molecules crucial for developing personalized preventive and therapeutic strategies. Pre-doctoral researchers joining NuMeH will be part of a multidisciplinary team embedded within TecnATox, a TECNIO center. This provides access to cutting-edge research, technology transfer, and an extensive international network. Researchers benefit from an innovative, industry-relevant environment that fosters cross-field collaboration, enhancing both the depth of research and its practical application, particularly in personalized medicine. NuMeH’s strong expertise in epidemiological, clinical, and pharmacological studies further drives its progress in understanding and addressing these complex diseases.
