PHD CANDIDATES TO APPLY FOR THE FORTHCOMING PHD HEALTH RESEARCH TRAINING CONTRACT (PFIS) – (PI21/1479)

We are looking for one PhD candidates to apply for the forthcoming PhD health research training contract (PFIS). More information about this grant from the 2022 call can be found at:

The candidate will join the research group “Diamet” (www.diamet.org) of the Pere Virgili Health Research Institute (www.iispv.cat), Joan XXIII University Hospital (https://icscampdetarragona.cat/web/index.php/hospital-joan-xxiii/?lang=es) and the Rovira i Virgili University (www.urv.cat). Candidates are required for 1 possible position for 4 years.

 

Research project:

  • A prospective observational longitudinal study in pregnancy to assess the role of oxylipins in pregnancies complicated with gestational diabetes. The project involves the collection, management and analysis of clinical, anthropometric, biochemical, thermography images and transcriptomic data. The biochemical analysis includes the study of the oxylipin profile in maternal and fetal samples. The candidate will participate in patient recruitment and follow-up, the mother and offspring, including neonates, clinical and anthropometric evaluation, data management and statistical analysis, in the writing of results in scientific articles and in their dissemination.

Project title: Oxylipins in Gestational Diabetes and its Relationship with Maternal and Offspring Phenotype

 

Applicant requirements

1- Degree in the field of life sciences, average score > 2.0

2- Master’s degree obtained after 1-1-2019, average score > 2.0

3- Fluent English.

4- Fulfill the requirements of the call.
