Descripció del treball

The NEUROEPIA group has extensive experience in population-based studies about the environmental factors and nutrition on child neuropsychological development. Our main interests are to study early life factors (ex. maternal nutritional status) and longitudinal association with child neurodevelopment. In this call, we would like to complement NEUROEPIA’s expertise with a candidate able to develop a new line of research based on neuroimaging outcomes and connect them to the early life factors, such as seafood intake and/or nut intake. The researcher will develop his/her carrier by contributing in the data cleaning, data harmonization and data analyses of neuroimaging data sets from ongoing population-based cohort studies. The candidate will be able to develop his/her career in the hot topic of nutritional epidemiology and neurodevelopment.

The Group is now coordinating the neurodevelopment working groups in the INMA, HELIX and LifeCycle projects, and Dr. Jordi Julvez is the PI of a randomized controlled trial in a cohort study (https://smartsnack.isglobal.org/en/homemain-3/). This cohort participates in a larger EU H2020 project consortia (Equal-Life) aiming to assess the human exposome and the association
with neurodevelopment. He is also the co-leader of WP6 at the LifeCycle EU project, which aims to harmonize neurodevelopment and neuroimaging outcomes in several European populationbased birth cohorts.

Condicions laborals

We are looking for a postdoc that is willing to apply for the Marie Curie Individual Fellowships (MSCA-IF) 2020 call (deadline September 2020) to join the NEUROEPIA Group led by Dr. Jordi Julvez. Selected candidates will receive dedicated support from the Institute to write a successful proposal.

For the MSCA-IF 2020 call, our group is looking for a postdoc with experience in neuroimaging and bioinformatics to unravel the relationship between the effects of maternal nutritional status during pregnancy and broad range of neuroimaging sources previously obtained in studies carried out by our group.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Mobility rule: S/He must have not lived in Spain for longer than 12 months in the past 36 months up to 9th of September 2020.
  • Experience neuroimaging programs such as FSL or SPM
  • Publication record in top ranking scientific journals.
  • Fluency in English and good interpersonal and communication skills.

How to apply:

Interested candidates should send a CV, motivation letter explaining your research interests, and contact details of two referees at upi@iispv.cat (E-mail Subject: “IISPV – MSCA Dr. Julvez”) by 30 April 2020.
