The Disease Biomarker and molecular mechanism group ( DIBIOMEC) (https://www.iispv.cat/es/grup/dibiomec/) at Institut d’investigació Sanitaria Pere Virgili (IISPV) is looking for a highly motivated candidate to apply for motivated postdoctoral researcher (R2) to apply for a research position funded by the “Sara Borrell” Program of the Carlos III Health Institute ( https://www.isciii.es/QueHacemos/Financiacion/solicitudes/Paginas/default.aspx)
The group strategic lines in the oncology field are:
1) Investigation of the molecular mechanisms underlying the initiation and progression of urogenital tumors (prostate and bladder) by putting the focus on its microenvironment, with the goal of improving the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
2) Personalization of treatment in patients with prostate cancer. Our laboratory has been interested in identifying new molecular biomarkers capable of predicting the aggressivity of prostate cancer.
For this position it is:
Required:
– Hold a PhD degree in biological or biomedical sciences obtained after 1st January 2020 a (with the exceptions listed in the call),
– Publication record as first/last author in indexed international journals in the first decile/quartile.
Valued:

– Direction of graduate, master’s and/or undergraduate students,
– Organizational, proactive and self-motivated attitude,
– Communication skills.
