PhD Candidate Recruitment
(INIM Group, IISPV-URV-CIBERINFEC)

Our group

The Infection and Immunity Research Group (INIM) is a dynamic and multidisciplinary
research group focused on epidemiological, clinical and molecular characteristics of
infectious diseases. The INIM group is a consolidated research group (2021SGR01404)
led by Dr. Anna Rull (Biochemist) and Dr. Joaquim Peraire (Infectious disease doctor)
that belongs to IISPV-URV. Our group is located at the Hospital University Joan XXIII
(Tarragona), and it is part of the CIBERINFEC network of excellence (CB21/13/00020).

What we offer

The opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in the study of molecular mechanisms
related to infectious diseases, including the study of HIV/AIDS and COVID-19 (priority
lines), but also nosocomial infections. The candidate will acquire experience in clinical
and translational research.

Requirements

✓ Master’s degree in biological sciences, biochemistry, or biotechnology.
✓ Strong motivation to pursue a scientific career
✓ Knowledge of bioinformatics and statistics
✓ Excellent English skills
✓ Citizen of the European Union (FI-STEP Call Requirement)
