El grupo de investigación en Nutrigenòmica de la IISPV-URV tiene como objetivo general la generación de conocimiento orientado al diseño de alimentos funcionales capaces de prevenir, atrasar o paliar enfermedades metabólicas como la obesidad, la diabetes, la hipertensión y el síndrome metabólico. Además, estos estudios también permiten la revalorización de subproductos de la industria alimentaria mediante la obtención de ingredientes funcionales.
