Obesity and Metabolic Surgery

METABOLIC AND NUTRITION DISEASES
TARGETS

A surgery research group is a group that currently combines clinical research and experimental research, interacting at the same time with other groups and disciplines. Her main line of research is bariatric and metabolic surgery. The main objective of the research is to analyze the weight, intake, and hormonal response after this type of surgery. The training of our team in this field is ongoing, while we are part of the statewide network of trainers for young residents and surgeons. We also participate as teachers in the master’s degree in bariatric surgery. Various competitive projects have supported our research as well as publications in high-impact scientific journals.
