On July 30, 2024, Comisión Obrera Nacional de Catalunya submitted to the Department of Business and Labor of the Generalitat de Catalunya the notice of the call for elections for workers’ representatives in the IISPV.

In accordance with the timetable proposed by the promoter, the electoral board was constituted on 16 September:

  • A president, who is the most senior worker.
  • A secretary, who is the youngest worker.
  • A member, who is the oldest worker

On 16 September, the process of trade union elections began at the IISPV to choose the representatives of the IISPV workers for the ballot to be held on 28 October 2024. As established in the regulations, the Electoral Table has been constituted.

To exercise your right to vote, you must be on the electoral roll. If you are not on the electoral roll, you will not be able to vote or stand as a candidate. It is important that you check that your details are correct to ensure that you can exercise your right to vote on 28 October. If there are any incidents or complaints, you should send them by e-mail to the Polling Station (mesaelectoral@iispv.cat).

You can check if you are registered on the IISPV Intranet.

The deadline for sending incidents/complaints is 25/09/24.

  • Postal voting may be requested from the day following the constitution of the Polling Station and up to five days before voting day.

  • The request to vote at the respective Polling Station must be made in writing, by registered post.

  • This request for a vote shall be made to the post office, in duplicate (original and copy), in an open envelope, to be stamped by the official before placing the original in the envelope, showing the DNI so that the personal details and matching signature can be checked, which shall be sent to the attention of the Polling Station by registered post.

  • On receiving the request, the Electoral Table will check that the applicant’s details are correct and that he/she forms part, as a voter, of the electoral roll, sending the ballot papers of the different candidacies presented plus a blank ballot paper, an envelope in which to insert the chosen ballot paper and a larger envelope in which to insert the sealed envelope with the chosen ballot paper and a photocopy of the DNI.

  • Once the applicant has received this documentation, he/she will place the ballot paper in the small envelope sent, close it and, together with a photocopy of his/her ID card, place both in the larger envelope, which he/she will send to the attention of the Polling Station by registered post, in MAIL.

  • When the polling station receives the registered post, it will keep it sealed until the day of voting. At the end of the established timetable, after checking the accuracy of the data and ensuring that the voter has not voted in person, the ballot paper will be placed in the ballot box. In the event that the voter had voted in person on that day, he/she should inform the polling station, so that the ballot paper can be destroyed before the count…
