In January 2020, the World Health Organization announced an outbreak in China of a respiratory disease caused by a completely unique coronavirus. Since then, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused more than 140M infections and 3M deaths worldwide, with no end in sight. In Catalonia, it has already caused around 13.000 deaths. During this seminar, we will discuss the foremost important and surprising lessons that we have learned so far about the coronavirus and also questions that still remain to be answered, including how this pandemic is affecting people’s life.
