The Statistical Support Platform is a cross-cutting platform for statistical support to researchers that offers a support and advice service in all phases of the development of a research project: methodology, design, analysis and publication.
We offer advice in the field of research methodology, including bibliographic search, project approach and design and elaboration of instruments for data collection.
We also offer statistical analysis of the data, with high quality graphs and customizable according to the criteria of the chosen journal.
Coordinator of the Statistical Support Platform
Joan Badia, statistician and biomedical specialized in programming, data analysis, support, tutoring and statistical advice, databases and graphic design. Specialized in predictive algorithms of Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence; in data integration algorithms; in analysis of omics and clinical data and in survival analysis.
Statistical and methodological advice
Dr. Gemma Flores Mateo, specialist in Preventive Medicine and Public Health, specialist in Family and Community Medicine. Master’s degree in Public Health from Pompeu Fabra University. PhD in Public Health and Research Methodology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Specialized in methodological advice, statistical analysis and meta-analysis.
The Statistics Unit has the capacity to analyze all types of data, on multiple platforms (R, STATA, SPSS, Python, Access…) and in any format.
Advice on the design of research protocols in order to be presented in competitive calls. Adaptation of graphics for PowerPoint or Word.
Statistical analysis. Elaboration of graphics following the design criteria of the chosen scientific journal.
Support in the publication or dissemination of the results. Support in the description of the methods used.
