Experiments, Computing and Modeling in Fluid Mechanics and Turbulence (ECOMMFIT)

TARGETS

The main objective of the group’s research work is to improve the knowledge of the processes of transport and chemical reaction in multiphase flows, to improve the control and predictive capacity of these phenomenons, to improve their efficiency and efficiency in all types of processes, from biomedical (to improve health) to industrial (to increase productivity). These types of flows are present in many situations and applications of biomedical, scientific, and technological interest, on scales ranging from the micro-level, such as platelet or fibrinogen deposition in the early stages of thrombosis, to large industrial equipment, such as multiphase reactors. To achieve this goal, the group’s work is divided into two major blocks, such as a) applications in microfluidics, microchannels, and capillaries, of interest in biochemical and biomedical processes, and b) large-scale applications, such as reactors and chemical processes or in the atmosphere.
