Researchers from the Food, Nutrition, Development and Mental Health Research Group (ANUT-DSM) of the Pere Virgili Health Research Institute and Rovira i Virgili University

The Food, Nutrition, Development and Mental Health Research Group (ANUT-DSM) of the Pere Virgili Health Research Institute and Rovira i Virgili University, has been one of the awardees in the framework of the Luis Noé Fernández Awards, from the Alimerka Foundation, for his scientific contribution in the field of nutrition.

This group (led by Dr. Jordi Salas-Salvadó and Dra. Nancy Babio Sánchez) have achieved results, among other achievements, in observational and interventional studies that have made it possible to scientifically verify the benefits of the Mediterranean diet in people’s health and that have also represented a significant advance in the field of nutrition of precision.

Also, the prize jury wanted to recognize the fundamental collaboration of this group in the formulation of international nutritional recommendations and the efforts to transfer research to society.
