Margarita Oliva. Businesswoman and president of the board of trustees of the Rosa Maria Vivar Foundation (Alzheimer Reus and Camp de Tarragona). Degree in Physics, Astronomy and Astrophysics from the UB.
Xavier Allué Martínez.Pediatric pulmonologist and PhD in Anthropology. Head of the Pediatric Service at the Joan XXIII University Hospital of Tarragona until 2011.

Eugeni Sedano y Monasterio.Among the many positions he has held, he has been director of Pharmacy and general director of Health Resources of the Department of Health of the Generalitat and has worked in the pharmaceutical industry at Esteve Pharmaceuticals as Director of Institutional Relations.
Ramon Gomis Barberà. Endocrinologist, playwright. President of the Advisory Council on Health Research and Innovation of the Generalitat de Catalunya (CAPRIS) and director of the Health Sciences Studies at the UOC.

Joan Guinovart Cereza. Degree in chemistry and pharmacy and doctorate in biochemistry from the UB. Specialist in clinical biochemistry and clinical analyses.
Joan Vendrell Ortega.Director of the IISPV. Doctor specializing in endocrinology and nutrition. Doctor in medicine from the UB. He has been clinical head of the Endocrinology and Nutrition Service at the Joan XXIII University Hospital of Tarragona since 2000 and professor of the Department of Medicine and Surgery at the URV Faculty of Medicine since 2018.

Elisabet Vilella Cuadrada.Deputy director of the IISPV. PhD in biology. Director of the research area of the Pere Mata Institut University Hospital. He studied biology at the UAB (1982-1986). Awarded by the Spanish government with a predoctoral scholarship and by the Ferrer Foundation for research with a Severo Ochoa postdoctoral scholarship.

The Social Council is the body for society to participate in the activities of the IISPV and has the function of assuming, integrating and relating the scientific activity of our institution with the public sector, civil society and the productive fabric.
It ensures that it knows the needs and aspirations of all these agents while establishing a relationship with them and with society in general.
Among the members of the Social Council there are representatives of Catalan society, as well as people who are part of the councils and committees of the IISPV.
