The twentieth anniversary of the IISPV
We are celebrating!
- To mark the 20th anniversary of the Institut d’Investigació Sanitària Pere Virgili (IISPV), we are organizing a series of commemorative events. Our goal is to share the work carried out so far in the field of biomedical research, and we hope to count on your participation!
- – Open Day (22 July) The first activity to celebrate these 20 years was an open day at the laboratories located in the Hospital Universitari Sant Joan de Reus. During a guided tour and an informative session, our researchers introduced visitors to the world of biomedical research.
- – “Health Research Hits the Streets” Day (18 October) Later, in mid-October, the streets of Reus city centre will be filled with activities that bring IISPV’s biomedical work closer to the public. There will be something for everyone: an escape room, hands-on science workshops at the old Hospital Sant Joan, public talks by our research team, and a walking route through places historically linked to health. These activities will also take place in Tarragona on dates to be announced soon and will be available on the IISPV website.
- – Institutional Event at Teatre Bartrina (3 December) The main event of the celebration will be held at the Teatre Bartrina in Reus. It will be a moment to honour those who have contributed to the growth of this biomedical research centre, a reference in the province of Tarragona, which has strongly promoted scientific research in recent years.
This is a key moment to share our vision for the future, build connections between institutions, and renew our commitment to research and public health.
