We are looking for candidates interested in applying for a Juan de la Cierva contract (https://www.aei.gob.es/ca/convocatories/cercador-convocatories/ayudas-contratos-juan-cierva-formacion-2021) with our research group located at the Pere Mata Institute (IPM), Institut d’Investigació Sanitària Pere Virgili, Universitat Rovira i Virgili. Our research group is a multidisciplinary group integrated by psychiatrists, psychologists and biologists, led by Dr. Elisabet Vilella. Our group is mainly interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms involved in the development of psychiatric disorders and intellectual disability. The ultimate goal is to contribute to improve the diagnosis, treatment and evolution of psychiatric disorders and to improve the quality of life of people with these disorders.
In our projects we analyze our own clinical, genetic and genomic data, obtained from participants of the projects we develop, as well as from data repositories for research. Among the different psychiatric diagnoses, the group currently focuses on psychosis and bipolar disorder as core psychiatric processes and on delirium, personality disorders, intellectual disability as diagnoses that commonly appear co-morbidly. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our team. The candidate is required to meet the requirements of the call and have a competitive CV.
